Our story

The Heart and History Behind Porter Ranch Cleaners

When you walk into Porter Ranch Cleaners, you enter a business that was built with intention from the start. Herman and Alin opened their doors with a clear philosophy: be present, stay involved, and take personal responsibility for the quality of every garment that comes through the shop. That mindset shaped the foundation of the company and continues to guide how the work is done each day.

From the beginning, we made a deliberate choice to keep all cleaning inhouse. By operating our own on-premise plant, we maintain full control over the cleaning process, no outsourcing, no third-party facilities, and no uncertainty about how your items are handled.

A woman and a man dressed formally are seated together, smiling at the camera in a banquet or restaurant setting with other people in the background.

A person uses a steam iron to press a light blue shirt on an ironing board in a laundry or dry cleaning setting.

Environmental responsibility has also been part of our operation since the beginning. Remaining fully PERC-free reflects our commitment to safer cleaning: for your clothes, your home, and the community we serve. We recycle hangers, reuse garment bags, and follow strict standards for handling and disposing of cleaning agents to protect local air and water quality. “We keep clothes clean by being green” isn’t just a statement; it’s the principle that guides our daily work.
